Your culture is already shaping performance

Culture is not what you say it is.
It is what people experience every day

It shows up in how decisions are made, how people are treated, what managers and leaders pay attention to, and what gets rewarded, challenged or quietly tolerated.

I help growing organisations understand the culture people experience now, get clear about the culture their ambitions require and close the gap between the two.

When words and experience drift apart

Most organisations don’t deliberately create a culture that makes good work harder than it needs to be, good people harder to keep and results less consistent.

It develops in the gaps between the promises the business makes and what working there actually feels like.

People notice when:

• Stated values are ignored when decisions become difficult.
• Standards change depending on who is leading the team.
• Poor behaviour is tolerated because somebody delivers results.
• Employee feedback is collected, but little seems to change.
• People are encouraged to speak up, but quickly learn when not to.
• Growth creates silos, mixed messages and competing priorities.

Over time, people become more careful, less willing to contribute and less convinced that what the organisation says really matters.

That is the say-do gap. Left alone, it chips away at trust, ownership and performance.

Build the culture your ambitions need

New values can be useful, but they are not culture change on their own. Lasting change starts with an honest view of what is happening now and follows through into the decisions, behaviour and systems people experience every day.

Understand what is happening now

Surveys can help, but the numbers need context. I combine employee listening, cultural assessments and honest conversations to uncover how work really gets done and where trust, clarity or accountability are being lost.

I developed the Sticky 16 Culture Assessment to bring structure to that work. It helps us look beyond isolated scores, understand what people are experiencing across different levels of the organisation and see how the different parts of your culture connect.

Get clear about what the business needs

Together, we connect your commercial ambitions with the values, behaviours and ways of working needed to deliver them. The aim is clarity people can actually use, not another set of words that sound good but change very little.

Turn intent into everyday practice

Culture shifts when leaders model it, managers reinforce it and organisational systems support it. I help turn the intent into practical actions, communication and accountability so progress doesn’t disappear once the initial energy fades.

Measure progress and keep learning

Tracking progress helps you see whether the changes you are making are being felt, where momentum is building and where more attention is needed. I design culture and engagement surveys that make those shifts visible over time, giving you evidence to refocus effort and recognise and share the good work already making a difference.

Not sure where to start?

Culture can be difficult to see clearly when you’re right in the middle of it. You may know something needs to change without knowing exactly what that thing is. I get it.

Tell me what you’re noticing, what people are saying and where the culture seems to be helping or getting in the way. We’ll make sense of it together and work out what a useful first step could look like.
